20 Giltspur Street

As part of a structural alteration and repositioning project at 20 Giltspur Street, in collaboration with Deconstruct we have undertaken the first part of our structural jacking process. Jacking a section of the building 150mm

Whilst 150mm might not sound like much, it is a key milestone on the project, ensuring confidence with the client for the second phase.

This process saw the severance of an existing structural transfer beam from the column section, with 16 30 ton jacks installed to “lift” the beam to the new structural slab level. This jacking process is carried out in advance of the lower floor slabs, to set the head height of the floor zones being jacked.
